Commercial Research Marine Operations
We have partnered with other specialist marine research organizations to design and build the 2C Surveyed Class Research Vessel ‘Spinner’. Spinner operates under agreement to fulfill specialized marine environmental work scopes. The vessel is based in Fremantle, designed for long-range coastal and marine environmental science operations throughout Western Australia. We can travel by road to anywhere in the state or transit considerable distance (700 nm) by sea. It can carry up to 2 crew members and 10 special personnel up to 32 miles offshore or from a mothership. It’s capacity, deck layout, hardware, and electronics make it the perfect platform for supporting multidisciplinary environmental science operations, saving time and resources, and include (but are not limited to):
Coastal and marine habitat mapping, towed video, aerial and ROV operations.
Marine Environmental monitoring, including water and sediment sampling.
Oceanography, including the deployment, retrieval and in field servicing of equipment.
Marine Fauna surveys, including scuba, baited and remote video, camera based marine mammals, reptiles and bird surveys.
Fauna tagging, tracking and retrieval operations.
Documentary production, and more.
