Conservation and restoration

Human activity is accelerating the destruction of nature at an alarming rate, outpacing the Earth’s capacity for replenishment and pushing our ecosystems to functional extinction. We focus on preserving and revitalising natural habitats and recovering threatened species populations. We have contributed to a diversity of projects in Australia, Indonesia, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and the Pacific, ostensibly to gain outcomes against conservation, restoration, and climate change challenges. Many of these integrate aspects of; spatial management; ecosystem restoration, including the development and implementation of work activities and species selection; carbon and biodiversity offsetting strategies; fisheries and habitat management; threatened species protection and recovery, as well as addressing socioeconomic drivers of environmental decline, particularly poverty, health, literacy, and more. Some are complete integrated nature based solutions.  We employ approaches such as the IUCN Nature-Based Solutions Framework to develop strategies that optimize the likelihood of success.
